Assistant Professor of Agricultural Science

Position Summary:
The College of Education and Technology is seeking qualified candidates to serve as an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Science with an emphasis in soils, crops, or horticulture for a nine month tenure track. The department has approximately 100 students majoring in Agriculture; the Agriculture program offers courses leading to a B.S. or Associate degree in Agriculture with emphases in Agriculture Education, Animal Production, and Pre-Veterinary Medicine within the context of a student-centered focus.
Requirements:Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
Teaching undergraduate courses in soils, crops, horticulture, and range management.
Further, maintaining and enhancing ENMU's relationship with area high school agriculture programs including dual credit, FFA judging contests, and recruitment.
Finally, other activities including: scholarly activities, mentoring undergraduate research, participating in university and community service, and advising students.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Ph.D. (Assistant Professor) in soils, crops or highly related field; ability to work well in a collegial setting. (ABD considered)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in developing, and teaching online courses through multiple formats.
Commitment to collaboration and working as part of a team to visualize, plan, deliver, assess and redirect programs as needed to serve stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Working Conditions:Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
