Biology Instructor

Position Summary:
The Department of Biology at Eastern New Mexico University, Portales, seeks a non-tenure-track Instructor of Biology able to teach up to three courses (.75FTE) per semester. This is currently a temporary (up to one year) non-renewable position. This is a campus-based position. Position starts August 2018.
Requirements:Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach general biology for majors and non-majors and/or anatomy & physiology for non-majors.
Minimum Job Requirements:
M.S. in Biology or related field, Ph.D. degree preferred.
Teaching experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Expertise in the area(s) of general biology and anatomy & physiology.
Basic computer skills (e.g. Word-processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software)
Basic laboratory skills (safety, scientific method, solution preparation, etc.)
Teaching skills (enthusiastic lecturer, ability to teach diverse learners, etc.)
Assessment skills (learning outcomes, grading, etc.)
Working Conditions:Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
