Assistant Professor of ECE

Position Summary:
The College of Education is seeking qualified candidates to teach as a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Family Consumer Sciences (FCS). Salary will be based on degree and experience.
Requirements:Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (online and onsite) in Early Childhood Education and Family Consumer Sciences (family related).
Advise undergraduate and graduate students
Engage in scholarly activities
Provide service to schools, the Child Development Center, and University communities
Minimum Job Requirements:
A doctorate (ABD considered) degree or equivalent coursework in Early Childhood Education, Human Studies/FCS/Human Ecology and emphasis in child development/early childhood education.
A minimum of three years of experience as a teacher in Birth - 12 Individuals interested in working with children from birth to age 8, working with a diverse student population, and delivering courses via distance technologies are encouraged to apply.

Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

Work is performed during normal work hours but may require some evening or weekend hours
Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
