ITS Technical Trainer

Position Summary:
The ITS Technical Trainer documents and trains ENMU administrative personnel on the use of computer software and is primarily responsible for developing training programs related to IT and coordinating technology based training sessions for the software and technology used at ENMU. The ITS Technical trainer serves as a liaison between ITS and users gathering technology needs for the use of current technology and evaluating new technology needs.
Requirements:Duties and Responsibilities:
Assessment of training needs, review and development of training materials, coordination of training classes, and communication of education opportunities.
Develop training materials including training manuals, presentations, and handouts.
Provide training on the use of computer software and upgrades, to include but not limited to, Banner, Imaging, Workflow, Argos, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Operating System, Tablet use in addition to office phone and cellphone use.
Work with content owners to learn the system(s) and process(es) and to review and revise training materials.
Assist areas looking to implement technology in a more effective manner.
Work as a liaison between ITS and technology users on campus.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor's in Technical Writing, Education, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Proficient writing and oral skills is required.
The ability to work with others to gather the information needed to preform trainings.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Should have the ability to write user documentation and generate training materials.
Able to work with others in order to gather the information needed to perform trainings.
Must be able to learn new software quickly.
Must be able to present information clearly and effectively in varying delivery methods forms (verbal, lecture, one-on-one, or over the telephone).
Must demonstrate a willingness to be of assistance to others and patient in the handling of potentially frustrated or confused users.
Must possess good time management skills and be able to deliver required work on schedule when working with multiple deadlines.
Must display a cooperative attitude toward co-workers and demonstrated ability to perform in a "team" environment.
Working Conditions:Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
